Very quick survival post here, been a busy day here on da lil farm, but I felt you needed to have access to this info, as soon as possible.

This a.m. one of my FB friends shared a disturbing piece of information. It is about a piece of legislation obama just passed. read the article and decide what you want/need to do…just in case.. When you have a night time Star Party here is your check list:

You want it to be clear, pleasantly cool,
a great bonfire,
some hotdogs,
s’mores
great comfy yard chairs, games to play until it gets dark
a great telescope to tune into the stars
and family and friends who come to spend the night, maybe even sleep over.

You don’t want clouds or RAIN…UNLESS it is RAINING Stars, of course…
and this year..our third anuual STAR party, it is doing just that..

Why not start your own annual Sar party.. let it be as simple or as “complex” as you choose:

Our first year I designed Star Party t-shirts for one & all
This year our Star party will have a Star Party designed Birthday cake..
Who knows maybe we’ll have some great Big Dipper punch..YUM…
maybe I can squeeze in painting on glow in the dark stars on t-shirts for the grandkids..

Whatever you do, whoever you are, take one of this weekends evenings and look at the stars
hopefully you will see some or all of the Perseid Meteor showers,
then why not find something in all of that majesty and thankful

Just a week ago I over heard a sweet little cow girl respond to a question
about working with horses (and cleaning up after etc)

I loved her answer..If my horses are happy, I am happy…ahhh a gal after my own heart.

Now then what does this tell you and what does your horse ( or others around you)
“say” about you?

How does this principal apply in other areas of your life?

Starting from serious scratch…

I found this Julia Child youtube video starring guest chef Nancy Silverton,
demonstrating how to make focaccia bread, fascinating.

Would you have guessed you start with a bunch of grapes,flour and water,
a week before you want to make your yummy bread ?

Passionate pre birth horse lover, this easy boot video brought back many warm memories
Carole & Jeanne ( you know who you are) this could’ve been us.

Bullies:

No matter where you live, who you are, how old you are
how kind you are, how positive you are, what you do or who your kin or best friends are
you will most likely have to deal with a bully, at some point in your life.

I know the “politically correct” teaching is to give, turn, share, avoid, forgive, use conflict resolution
all of which have merit given the right circumstances, and are definately worth consideration,

HOWEVER: sometimes, something more is required..(thanks to you tube I found the perfect solution for those persistant bullies)

These youtube video’s are especially for my dog & cat lovin’ sis..
So, if you have a “talking” dog or cat they just might be saying this to you.
ummm it’s not nice to “tease” or “bug” your furry babies,
or mother nature, for that matter, remember that lightening zap you commercial?
(p.s. these are made up scripts to fit the persons video of their pet, good job isn’t it?)

JACKETS that’s what! Yellow ones to be precise.

I’m talking the ones that have legs…
Shudder even worse..
These , in your face bullies,tote weapons.. STINGERS.
OWIE!

It’s soon going to be time for dad’s “famous” BBQ,
and these notorious bulllies think nothing of taking the food right off
your platem, even before you so much as, get a bite.

What’ s a farmfunnies mom to do?

Well, put out some jacket traps loaded with jacket “elixer”,
yum .. here buzzies, come and get it, this is for you, ZAP,Kerplunk
AHH peace reigheth again…

This year I wanted to get ahead in the jacket game
Now I can with wasp and hornets too ,
BECAUSE there is a new product out for trapping all three.

Now you can dust off the lawn chairs,
fire up the grill & enjoy your backyard BBQ in peace

Just when you think repetition or practice is “boring”
and you will “never” accomplish anything
along comes a sweet furry bundle to prove YES YOU CAN

It’s all about passion and having a heart for persistantly
sticking with your practicing
(that is “if” you are practicing correctly because we all know
“just” any old practice doesn’t make you perfect but perfect practice can).
