You want it to be clear, pleasantly cool,
a great bonfire,
some hotdogs,
s’mores
great comfy yard chairs, games to play until it gets dark
a great telescope to tune into the stars
and family and friends who come to spend the night, maybe even sleep over.

You don’t want clouds or RAIN…UNLESS it is RAINING Stars, of course…
and this year..our third anuual STAR party, it is doing just that..

Why not start your own annual Sar party.. let it be as simple or as “complex” as you choose:

Our first year I designed Star Party t-shirts for one & all
This year our Star party will have a Star Party designed Birthday cake..
Who knows maybe we’ll have some great Big Dipper punch..YUM…
maybe I can squeeze in painting on glow in the dark stars on t-shirts for the grandkids..

Whatever you do, whoever you are, take one of this weekends evenings and look at the stars
hopefully you will see some or all of the Perseid Meteor showers,
then why not find something in all of that majesty and thankful

demonstrating how to make focaccia bread, fascinating.

you will most likely have to deal with a bully, at some point in your life.

I know the “politically correct” teaching is to give, turn, share, avoid, forgive, use conflict resolution
all of which have merit given the right circumstances, and are definately worth consideration,

HOWEVER: sometimes, something more is required..(thanks to you tube I found the perfect solution for those persistant bullies)

I’m talking the ones that have legs…

These , in your face bullies,tote weapons.. STINGERS.
OWIE!

It’s soon going to be time for dad’s “famous” BBQ,
and these notorious bulllies think nothing of taking the food right off
your platem, even before you so much as, get a bite.

Well, put out some jacket traps loaded with jacket “elixer”,
yum .. here buzzies, come and get it, this is for you, ZAP,Kerplunk
AHH peace reigheth again…

This year I wanted to get ahead in the jacket game
Now I can with wasp and hornets too ,
BECAUSE there is a new product out for trapping all three.

Gluten & Casein free
Ultimate Death by Chocolate chip cookies
(Green St. Patrick’s version below)
Cream 1/2 cup of crisco’s baking shortening, ( on one trial I substituted peanut butter for 1/2 of the shortening, next time
I will try using all peanut butter. and true to Paula Dean “fashion” this cow lovin’ farm gal uses REAL butter when
casein free is not an issue)
1/2 cup each of brown & white sugar (or fructose)
Stir in 1 egg,1/2 tsp vanilla, 1/2 tsp each of salt & baking soda
Add 1 cup of your favorite glueten free flour mixture
1 cup of rolled oats, 1/3 cup of baking cocoa, 1/2 cup of chocolate chips
1/3 cup almond,rice milk or even water,plus or minus to make a good dropping consistancy for your dough

Drop by heaping tsps. onto sprayed or greased cookie sheets, place in 375 degree oven bake for 8-10 min. depending on how soft or crisp you like your cookies.

Let cool a few min before lifting off of the cookie sheet, then STAND BACK so you don’t get trompled :-0

GREEN St. Patrick’s version
use all shortening (or butter, may need to add a bit more flour mixture with butter so they don’t spread too much, I haven’t had time to try making my new recipie with butter yet)
Add drops of green food color, to the shade of green that makes your non baking neighbor want to turn green with envy
BTW , I can guarantee peanut butter doesn’t take on a good green hue very easily.
Trade 1/3 cup of your flour mixture, for the baking chocolate.
